For some reason, I have always been a big fan of artists taking mainstream music and putting a “genre-spin” on those songs. This particular piece is called Ode To Ye by “propaYne”, take a good guess where he got the spelling for that one. Basically what he does is take Kanye’s songs and redoes them with a variety of instruments including a violin, chello and various strings. He throws his own vocals over it too. What a genius.
You must be saying, how does it sound like Kanye? Well, he gives his verses the “Kanye feel” and using his hooks here and there, yet quite familiar. Well give it a shot, you might like it. I’ve added some previews for you to checkout before you jump for the album download.
According to the artist himself, he says this was all done in one day. Amazing.
