It’s finally here, the talented Mike Posner’s album “31 Minutes to Takeoff” has just dropped and I got my copy downloaded! Currently listening to the album and already have some favorites. The singles you’ve already heard before are on the album, Cooler Than Me, Bow Chicka Wow Wow and Please Don’t Go.
Cueyfornication
OnCue blew this motherfucker up! His mixtape “Cueyfornication” is officially my favorite ever. It was just released July 14, it should be gaining lots of ground in the next few days. Every track on “Cueyfornication” consists of samples from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, as you can see the name of the mixtape isn’t so subtle.
Kanye West + Violin = Great?
For some reason, I have always been a big fan of artists taking mainstream music and putting a “genre-spin” on those songs. This particular piece is called Ode To Ye by “propaYne”, take a good guess where he got the spelling for that one.
White Panda’s mashup “Rematch”
Genius mashups put together into one album, free for download from the best in the mashup business, White Panda. The album includes over 100 samples, yes 100, from all kinds of genres and songs all mixed into 14 tracks. Quite an amazing feat if you ask me.
